Job Description:
As a Refrigerated Trailer Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of temperature-sensitive goods to various destinations across Europe. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating and maneuvering refrigerated trailers to transport goods in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conducting pre-trip inspections of the trailer to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Loading and unloading cargo with the utmost care to avoid any damage or spoilage.
- Monitoring and maintaining the temperature and humidity controls inside the trailer to ensure the integrity of the cargo.
- Planning routes and adhering to delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and other factors.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
- Completing all required paperwork accurately, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and maintenance records.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures, as well as local, national, and international transportation regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for the position of Refrigerated Trailer Driver, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A valid heavy driving license (Class C or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a qualified trailer driver, preferably with experience in refrigerated transportation.
- Excellent English speaking skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physically fit and able to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation and temperature control systems.
- Knowledge of local and international transportation regulations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- A temporary resident permit allowing you to work legally in Europe (sponsorship provided by the company).
